Doctors of the World have produced a Toolkit and a Poster for Social Prescribing Link Workers operating within primary care and VCSE organisations. These materials, put together with input from social prescribing link workers and migrants, gives practical steps and information to recognise and address healthcare barriers.
The Toolkit outlines nine steps social prescribing link workers and frontline workers can take to help support migrant patients access to healthcare. The poster provides a summary of the recommendations and should be displayed behind reception and other staff areas. The social prescribing template offers suggestions of key service types that frontline staff should be aware of in their local area.
