Peter has been an NHS Family Doctor since 1984 and in 2000 became involved in projects in Rajasthan, India addressing issues of migration, health, education, housing and the lack of opportunities for girls and women. Peter joined Doctors of the World as a volunteer GP in 2015 and regularly works in their clinics in East London, serving undocumented migrants, asylum seekers, refugees and the homeless. Many of the people seen in these clinics have suffered from psychological and physical trauma, even torture and he is committed to the contribution that Family Medicine can make to the rebuilding of lives.
