The Doctors of the World network has more than 400 programmes in over 80 countries. Whether it’s providing urgent medical care in Ukraine, giving mental healthcare to refugees in Calais, or strengthening health systems in west Africa, we meet the health needs of vulnerable people globally.

YEMEN

Doctors of the World has been active in Yemen since 2007, but we have increased our capacity in response to the conflict. We currently support 13 medical facilities. We supply medical equipment, emergency assistance and essentials medicine to those in need.

Syria: The Civil War

What began as protests in Damascus and Aleppo against the imprisonment of teenage activists in 2011, has evolved into one of the most pressing humanitarian emergencies of our time. Doctors of the World has been active in Syria since the beginning of the war with the aim of strengthening the healthcare system that has been debilitated by the conflict.

EU Aid Volunteering

Doctors of the World works in humanitarian aid providing emergency response and long term healthcare projects. We are led by volunteers. The MdM International network has joined the EU Aid Volunteers Initiative.

Kenya

We are treating malnutrition in remote villages in Isiolo County and providing mentoring for junior doctors in Lamu County.

Calais and Dunkirk

We're monitoring the situation for refugees since the dismantling of the main Calais camp and we continue to deploy a mobile clinic around Dunkirk.

Greece

Doctors of the World has been working in Greece since 1990 and today medics provide medical care in many of the camps where refugees remain stranded.
