The 2.6 Challenge
26th April 2020
Join the nation-wide virtual challenge event and become a Home Hero on April 26th 2020!
Doctors of the World is calling all our home heroes to take part in the 2.6 challenge event taking place on 26th April 2020, the original scheduled day for the London Marathon. You can take part in support of all refugees, asylum seekers, undocumented migrants, and homeless people are accessing healthcare!
Do not fear, there’s no requirement to be a marathon runner to take part – this is a challenge for all ages and abilities. It’s just simply thinking of an activity based around the numbers 26 or 2.6 and complete it on or from Sunday April 26.
It could be something as simple as running 2.6 miles, 26 minutes of yoga, or cycling for 26 minutes – or on second thoughts, maybe just 2.6 minutes!
By you and your family joining Doctors of the World team you could be helping to ensure our work such as the advice line, remote GP consultations, and translation services remain open and reach out to all.
Best of luck with the 2.6 Challenge: let’s all save lives, be Home Heroes and make 26th April a day to remember.
