Migrant Health Stakeholder Meeting

The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) and Doctors of the World UKĀ are hosting this one-day meetingĀ on migrant.health in the UK, bringing together key stakeholders and decision makers, alongside service providers and users to address some of the UK’s most significant challenges in this area.

At this meeting we will look atĀ gaps in knowledge, explore issues with service provision, and identify potential solutions and research needs, weĀ will focus primarily on two themes:

Mental Healthā€‹ā€‹Ā Introductory Speaker ā€“ Prof Cornelius Katona, Medical Director, The Helen Bamber Foundation

Child and Adolescent HealthĀ Introductory Speaker ā€“ Dr AnnĀ Lorek – Consultant Community Paediatrician, Guys and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust

Not only do we have keynote speakers and discussion groups but you willĀ also hear directly from organisations including Doctors of the World, Freedom from Torture and the Refugee Council.Ā The day will finish with the screening of a film about life in the Calais ā€˜jungleā€™ followed by a drinks reception and networking opportunity.
